Our
Roots Run Deep. . .

The relationship with
Motorola began in the early 1940's when Don Livingston, Sr. hired on with
Motorola about the same time they introduced the first FM 2-Way portable "Walkie
Talkie". Working his way up through
commercial sales, he became an Executive Vice President of Motorola's
Communications & Electronics Division, out of Dallas, TX. What took him so far
in his 20 + years with Motorola was that he loved being around people and was
genuinely concerned about making everyone he associated with successful.
In 1962 his son, Don Livingston Jr., (known to us as Don, Sr. and the
Owner/President of CES/ Team One) hired on with Motorola. He spent 19 years with
the Motorola C&E Division achieving area sales manager for the southeast.
The opportunity arose in 1981 for him to buy a small company named
Communications Engineering Services (CES) in Pensacola, Florida with 5
employees.
At the same time, he would still maintain a relationship with
Motorola as an authorized service center. He grew the business using
the same philosophy and hard work that made him successful within Motorola.
Within 7 years, the business had more than quadrupled and a third generation of
Livingston's started their association with Motorola at CES, Inc.. Since
then, Don Livingston III (known to us as Don, Jr.) and Jeff Livingston have
helped grow the business from 20 employees to more than 100 employees over four
states using the same philosophy as their father and grandfather --
"Building Relationships".
